Is Lyon worth visiting? France’s second city is best known for its food, but over three days I found a lot more: Roman theatres, a basilica covered in mosaics, Renaissance passageways hidden inside residential buildings, and one of the most varied museum scenes outside Paris.
In this video I share what I did, saw and ate in Lyon, from the Musée des Beaux-Arts and the Musée des Confluences to the traboules of Vieux Lyon, the Mur des Canuts, a traditional bouchon and Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse. I also explain how the city is laid out between the Rhône and the Saône, so you can plan your own visit.
Several of the places in this video, including the Musée des Beaux-Arts and a river cruise, are included in the Lyon City Card.
