I wanted to give you a snapshot of my latest visit to Budapest. The capital of Hungary is an amazing city with a complicated past. I am under no illusion that I can give you the ultimate guide to Budapest, or the 25 things you absolutely must do in Budapest: that is not my aim here. To do such a video, or blog post, would be to demean the residents and tour guides who work in this wonderful European city full time.
Instead I hope I can give you an idea of what it is like to be a first time traveller to Budapest. The things you might see, and the places you might go. It is to show you why I believe Budapest has a place on a European itinerary.
I will be writing up more of my thoughts about the city soon, and I’ve already published a review of the hotel I stayed in.
